Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], September 7 (ANI): Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy participated in the Ganesh Puja celebration in the Khairatabad area of the state capital on the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi on Saturday.

In a message, CM Reddy wished that people celebrate the Ganesh festival with gaiety and fill the spiritual atmosphere at the decorated Ganesh pandals during the festivities.

The Bhagyanagar Ganesh Utsav Samiti set up a beautiful 70-foot tall idol of Lord Ganesha in Hyderabad’s Khairatabad for the occasion.
Several users took to the social media platform X to share videos and pictures of the idol.

Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu also participated in the Ganesh Puja at Vijayawada Collectorate.

The Andhra CM also offered prayers to Lord Ganesh on the occasion.

Earlier, on the eve of Ganesh Chaturthi, President Droupadi Murmu extended her greetings to Indians worldwide. “On the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, I extend my warm greetings and best wishes to all Indians living in India and abroad,” she said. The President highlighted the festival’s role in promoting harmony and called on citizens to work for a peaceful and prosperous India.
PM Modi also wished the nation saying, “Heartiest greetings of Ganesh Chaturthi to all countrymen. Ganpati Bappa Morya.”
Sharing his wishes on the occasion, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said, “Ganpati Bappa Morya! Heartiest greetings of Shri Ganesh Chaturthi to all the countrymen. I wish that Vighnaharta Shri Ganpati Bappa brings happiness, peace and prosperity in the life of all of you.”
Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar also shared his wishes, saying, “Lord Ganesha, the embodiment of wisdom, prosperity, and good fortune, holds a special place in the hearts of millions.”
Ganesh Chaturthi, a ten-day festival, begins today and will end on Anantha Chaturdashi. The festive period is also known as ‘Vinayak Chaturthi’ or ‘Vinayak Chavithi’. It celebrates Ganesha as the ‘God of New Beginnings’ and the ‘Remover of Obstacles’ as well as the god of wisdom and intelligence.
It is celebrated with much fervour across the country, with lakhs of devotees converging into mandals to seek blessing from Lord Ganesh.
For the festivities, people bring Lord Ganesh idols to their homes, observe fasts, prepare mouth-watering delicacies, and visit pandals during the festival. (ANI)
