Hyderabad (Telangana), September 17 (ANI): BRS Working President and MLA KT Rama Rao hit out at Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on Tuesday over the inauguration of the Rajiv Gandhi statue outside the state Secretariat on National Integration Day, while also challenging the CM to fulfil all the promises made during the polls.

Speaking on the importance of National Integration Day, he said that BRS has always wished for unity between the people, “BRS for the past 10 years has been celebrating this day as National Integration Day as this was the day that Telangana was integrated into the Indian Union. I extend my wishes to everyone on the occasion of National Integration Day. Today, many people who don’t know history are politicising this day for their political gains. BRS always wishes that there should be Ganga-Jamuni Tehzeeb in Telangana and the people should live above castes and religion.”
While speaking to the reporters at Telangana Bhavan, he added, “I am again saying, after coming to power, with all due respects, BRS will send the statue of Rajiv Gandhi to Gandhi Bhavan. If you have that much love, then place it at your residence in Jubilee Hills or anywhere else. This place is meant only to install the statue of Telangana Talli. I am telling this on this day of Ganesh Visarjan.”
KTR further said that the Telangana CM has installed the Rajiv Gandhi statue because the CM was trying cover up the past abuses he had hurled at Sonia Gandhi.
“When we said let’s install Telangana Talli who is everyone’s mother, in front of the BR Ambedkar Secretariat, he is saying he will only install Rahul Gandhi’s father’s statue there. To cover up all the earlier abuses that he had done, like calling Sonia Gandhi as ‘Balidevatha’ and others. Yesterday he said that Rajiv Gandhi had invented the computer. This shows how much knowledge you have. Revanth Reddy, you don’t know and also you don’t even know that you don’t know. The computer was not invented by Rahul Gandhi or Rajiv Gandhi, it was Charles Babbage. He also says that Rajiv Gandhi introduced computers to India. Rajiv did not introduce computers to India. In 1955, Tata Group brought the first computer to Mumbai. Rajiv Gandhi was only 10 or 12 years old at that time. This is your knowledge,” he added.
He further asked Telangana CM to fulfil all the promises made before the elections instead of constantly criticising KCR.
“I ask Revanth Reddy, people have been watching when you are doing timepass for the past 9 months by just abusing KCR. If you can, implement the 420 promises that you have made. If you can, give proper electricity and Rythu Bandhu. You made tall claims that KCR is only giving 10,000 and you will give 15,000. There is only 14 days left in this crop season. If you can and have guts, give Rythu Bharosa. If you can, give the Rs 2500 you have promised to our women. If you can, give Rs 4000 pension to our senior citizens as promised,” he said.
He also criticised the government for failing to provide adequate employment to people, mentioned the crime in Hyderabad, and highlighted multiple other problems that the people in the state might be facing.
“Our youth are eagerly waiting for the 2 lakhs jobs you promised within 1 year. Till now, not a single job has been given. If you can, give notifications and show the strength of the administration. Newspapers are writing about the crimes in Hyderabad. In Godavarikhani, petrol pumps are not pouring diesel in police vehicles saying that they are not paying the bills. On the other side, there is no chalk in schools. The former sarpanchs and sarpanchs are worried that their bills are pending. Yesterday, while he (Revanth) was speaking, everyone was laughing,” he added.
He also said that there is a health emergency in the state with various diseases.
He added, “There is a situation where a health emergency should be declared in the state. In every house, children are falling sick. In the state today, there is chikungunya, dengue and others. Revanth Reddy, who by keeping aside administration, has made it a job only to abuse KCR and BRS and doing an inefficient administration, is celebrating Praja Palana Dinotsavam today. He is calling September 17 as Praja Palana Dinotsavam (People’s Governance Day). There is no Palana (administration) in this state. The children in Gurukuls are suffering.” (ANI)
