Raipur (Chhattisgarh) [India], November 28 (ANI) Chhattisgarh achieved a remarkable distinction at the 44th India International Trade Fair (IITF) 2025, with its state pavilion receiving the prestigious “Special Appreciation Medal” for excellence in thematic presentation and display.
The award was conferred at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, during the IITF, held from November 14 to 27, 2025.
This recognition comes at a moment of pride, as Chhattisgarh completes 25 years of its formation in 2025. The pavilion presented an immersive narrative of the state’s evolution–from its cultural roots and tribal heritage to its achievements in governance, livelihood generation, industrial growth, tourism, and sustainable development.
The pavilion offered a compelling storyline capturing the state’s 25-year journey- its achievements, aspirations, and the spirit of “Nava Chhattisgarh.” It also highlighted the transformation of Bastar, showcasing recent progress in connectivity, tourism, tribal livelihoods, and peace-led development that has opened new opportunities for the region.

Traditional crafts, tribal art, indigenous products, local cuisine, and tourism offerings showcased the soul of Chhattisgarh with authenticity and modern appeal.
A major highlight was the pavilion’s strong focus on Chhattisgarh’s new Industrial Development Policy 2024-30, aimed at driving large-scale job creation and attracting high-impact investments.
The display introduced visitors to two transformational upcoming projects: India’s first AI Datacenter Park, and Chhattisgarh’s first Semiconductor Plant. These projects are expected to create thousands of high-quality jobs for the state’s youth and position Chhattisgarh prominently on the global map as a technologically advanced, investor-friendly, future-ready state.
The pavilion witnessed impressive footfall throughout the fair. Along with interactive digital displays, Chhattisgarh’s rich art and craft traditions drew significant attention from visitors. From GI-tagged Dhokra art to elegant Kosa silk fabrics, the pavilion delighted both knowledge seekers and shoppers. The blend of culture, craftsmanship, and immersive storytelling made it one of the most engaging and memorable experiences at IITF 2025.
“This honour celebrates the spirit of 25 years of Chhattisgarh–our heritage, our people, and our progress,” said an official from the Department of Commerce and Industries, Government of Chhattisgarh. “Our pavilion aimed to capture where the state began, how far it has come, and the ambitious future we are building. This national recognition reaffirms the impact of our journey.”
The “Special Appreciation Medal” stands as a testament to the state’s growing confidence, its commitment to innovation-led development, and its vision for a stronger economic future.
The India International Trade Fair, organised annually by the India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO), is one of the country’s largest and most diverse exhibitions. With participation from states, central ministries, PSUs, MSMEs, artisans, startups, and international exhibitors, IITF transforms Bharat Mandapam into a vibrant stage celebrating India’s culture, commerce, innovation, and entrepreneurial spirit.
