Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], September 22 (ANI): Shiv Sena MP Shrikant Shinde on Sunday said that he has been communicating with each worker and understands the problems faced by each constituency. Launching an attack against Shiv Sena (Uddhav Thackeray faction), he said that despite being in power for 25 years, they achieved nothing.
Speaking on Jan Samvad Yatra and South Mumbai and North East Mumbai Lok Sabha constituencies, he said, “I held review meetings today in the assembly constituencies of Shivadi and Byculla… The meetings for Malad West, Magathane, Jogeshwari, Dindoshi, and Andheri East were held yesterday. I am trying to communicate with each worker and understand the problems faced by each constituency. In Mumbai, the issues of SRA (Slum Rehabilitation Authority) and redevelopment are significant.”
“The issue of Ramabai Nagar has been pending for many years, but this government has resolved it by taking responsibility and sidelining the developer. Families in the Ramabai Nagar will now receive their rightful homes. The meeting also reviewed the organisational strength and the benefits of the Ladki Bahini Yojana,” he added.
Slamming Shiv Sena (UBT), he said that they did nothing for the welfare of the people. “It is well-known how the Shiv Sena (Uddhav Thackeray faction) won their seats and whose support they received. Despite being in power for 25 years, they achieved nothing, but in the last two years, CM Eknath Shinde has accomplished record-breaking work to ensure Mumbaikars receive their rightful homes,” he said.
Meanwhile, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has said that Mumbai and the Mumbai Metropolitan Region have the potential to become a 1.5 trillion dollar economy. Addressing a conference at the Thane Vikas Parishad, Shinde said that this was the first time such a big conference was being held in Thane.
He further stated that a meeting was held with the CEO of NITI Aayog, BVR Subrahmanyam, and that they have suggested eight sectors to work on by which they can achieve the goal of a 1.5 trillion dollar economy. (ANI)
