Hyderabad Police arrest and deport Nigerian man for overstaying visa, indulging in illegal activities – World News Network

Hyderabad (Telangana) [India] , September 10 (ANI) : Hyderabad police nabbed a Nigerian who was overstaying in India and indulging in alleged illegal activities.
According to police, the foreigner namely Ikeji Innocent Nduka is a native of Nigeria. In the year 2009 he came to Mumbai, India on Tourist Visa. Initially he used to do scarf business, where he used to purchase the same from Surat, Gujarat State for a period of one year. He then moved to Tiruppur, Tamilnadu State and sold T shirts for a period of 4 years. In the year 2014 he left Tamilnadu and moved to Bangalore. In the month of May 2024 he came to Hyderabad to start the illegal activities but he was apprehended in the limits of Panjagutta.
On enquiry, it is revealed that, the said foreigner is staying in India even after the expiry of his valid Passport & Visa and involving in illegal activities. Further it is also revealed that, he is hiding his actual identity by creating fake and fabricated identity to survive in India on the fake name to avoid any legal issues and to fly back to his country as and when required without any hurdles.
A Movement Restriction Order was obtained from the FRRO Hyderabad to deport him to his country and he was kept in the Detention Centre, Hyderabad. Further, the Emergency Travel document was also obtained from the Nigerian High Commission, New Delhi to facilitate and allow him to travel back to his country.
Then the police obtained exit permit from the FRRO Hyderabad to deport the foreigner to Nigeria. He was deported to Nigeria on September 7.
Meanwhile, Hyderabad police said that in recent times, some foreigner’s coming to India from various countries on Medical Visa, Student Visa and Business Visa etc were staying on in the country even after the expiry of the passport and visa. Some of them were also indulging in illegal activities like the transporting, supplying and selling the various types of drugs. Hyderabad Police further advised parents to keep a watch on the activities of their children to ensure they do not fall prey to drugs. (ANI)
