Jaipur (Rajasthan) [India], October 7 (ANI): With the vote count set to happen for Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections on October 8, Congress leader Supriya Shrinate hit out at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for trying to use “tricks” whenever they are losing elections.
Criticising the process of nominating 5 MLAs in the Jammu and Kashmir assembly, she said that these are the tricks BJP pulls when they start to lose.
“Jab BJP haar thi hai toh ese hathkande apna ti hai (Whenever BJP loses they use these tricks), BJP will be losing the Jammu and Kashmir elections that is why there is talks going on to nominate 5 members through a backdoor entry, this has never happened. In a free India you are making an Army major an SSP, and just like this they are nominating five members,” she said.
The state’s Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha is set to nominate five members in apart from the 90 members set to be elected on October 8.
Earlier, posting a video on X of BJP leader Sofi Yousuf claiming that all the five nominations will be BJP members, the J&K unit of Congress claimed earlier that there is an “open misuse” of the centre’s powers to “alter the mandate”.

The Axis My India has predicted a hung assembly in Jammu and Kashmir with the National Conference-Congress alliance slightly ahead and the BJP tailgating the opposition.
She also expressed confidence that the party would win both the Haryana and J7K assemblies.
“I am fully assured that we will form a government of full majority in Haryana and J&K,” she said.
She further hit out at the BJP for ignoring the issues of unemployment, perpetuating “jungle raaj,” and disregarding young people and women.
“The issues in Haryana, Jammu & Kashmir, and for the upcoming Maharashtra and Jharkhand assembly are not any different from the rest of the country. The issues are unemployment, 10 years of Jungle Raaj and disregard for wrestlers, youth and women, people were angry and they now have faith that if Congress comes to power there will be investments and job opportunities,” she said.
Claiming that her party would win even more seats than predicted, she said, “I am confident that our numbers would be better than what the exit polls are predicted.” (ANI)
