New Delhi, [India], November 15 (ANI) Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Saturday termed the National Democratic Alliance’s landslide victory in Bihar as a “clear endorsement of the people’s faith in development and stability”.
The Union Minister also asserted that the mandate reflects the electorate’s decisive rejection of what he called the opposition’s “negative ideologies”.
Speaking to ANI, Pradhan said, “This is the victory of the people of Bihar. I respectfully welcome Bihar’s commitment to democracy.”
He added that the NDA’s campaign had consistently focused on governance, welfare delivery, and long-term planning, which, he said, resonated strongly with voters across the state.
The Union Minister also claimed that the opposition’s conduct throughout the campaign signalled their disconnect with the ground realities.
“The opposition’s language, issues, rallies, and body language made us confident that the people of Bihar would reject such negative ideologies,” Pradhan said.
According to him, the tone and tenor of the rival camp often revolved around personal attacks and confrontational rhetoric rather than constructive debates on development.
Pradhan further stated that the NDA leadership had sensed early momentum toward a comprehensive victory. “We were confident that we were moving towards a massive win,” he noted, adding that the coalition’s organisational strength and grassroots outreach played a critical role in securing public trust.
He emphasised that the mandate places a greater responsibility on the NDA to accelerate development across Bihar, particularly in areas such as education, social welfare, infrastructure, and youth employment.
“The people have shown immense trust. It is now our duty to work even harder to meet their expectations,” Pradhan said.
Meanwhile, NDA leaders across states welcomed the Bihar outcome, describing it as a reflection of the public’s desire for continuity, welfare-led growth, and stable governance. Opposition parties, however, have raised concerns about the electoral process, even as they acknowledged the verdict. (ANI)
