Jaipur (Rajasthan) [India], November 18 (ANI): Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Prem Chand Bairwa on Monday exuded confidence in NDA’s victory in both Jharkhand and Maharashtra assembly polls and said that the people are impressed with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s tenure.
“People in both states (Jharkhand and Maharashtra) are in favour of BJP. People are impressed with PM Modi’s tenure… they have benefited from central government schemes… BJP has given respect to people. Congress did nothing for the upliftment of SCs and STs… results will definitely be in our favour… our government will be formed in Jharkhand too,” Prem Chand Bairwa told ANI.
Earlier, Union Minister Chirag Paswan said that the NDA government will be formed in both Jharkhand and Maharashtra.
“I am myself campaigning here (Jharkhand). I was also there in Maharashtra yesterday… When the result will be declared on November 23, people’s belief in PM Modi’s lead government will be restored…The way people had to face disappointment in 5 years of Hemant Soren’s government, the way corruption happened and the Chief Minister himself went to jail on corruption charges, in such a situation people have made up their minds for change. This time NDA government will come to Jharkhand… NDA government will come again in Maharashtra, people there seem satisfied with the work of the current government. People can see that when there is a double-engine government, the states benefit from it… NDA government will be formed in both Jharkhand and Maharashtra,” Paswan said.
Campaigning for the 288 assembly seats in Maharashtra and for the remaining 38 seats of Jharkhand has intensified.
In both the states the Mahayuti, Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), JMM-Congress and BJP are making efforts to win over voters.
Voting for the first phase of the Jharkhand assembly elections concluded with voting taking place in 43 out of the state’s 81 elected seats. The elections on the remaining 38 seats will be conducted on November 20 along with Maharashtra on 288 seats. The counting will be held on November 23. (ANI)
