New Delhi [India], September 11 (ANI): After the Delhi Court granted bail to Aam Aadmi Party leader Durgesh Pathak in the Delhi Excise Policy Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) case, the AAP MLA alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi wants to finish the party through “false cases.”
“We have been seeing this drama for the last two to three years that PM wants to finish AAP through false cases. But all of this is getting exposed slowly. Everyone is being granted bail and they are coming out of jail,” Pathak said.
“If you see the order copy, you will find that no agency has any substantive proof to even build a case. This era will be written in history that how attempts were made to finish off a small party – that spoke about working on schools, hospitals and improving basic infrastructure, and that they failed in finishing it off,” he said.
Earlier today, the Rouse Avenue court granted bail to AAP MLA Durgesh Pathak and others in connection with the Delhi Excise Policy Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) case.
Meanwhile, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was summoned through video conferencing from the Tihar jail and his judicial custody was extended till September 25.
The court had summoned Durgesh Pathak and other accused, who have been charge sheeted without arrest in the matter.
Special judge Kaveri Baweja granted bail on Durgesh Pathak on furnishing a bail bond of Rs 1 lakh and other accused also furnished their bail bonds.
Durgesh Pathak and other chargesheeted accused appeared before the court on summons issued by the Rouse Avenue court.
The CBI had filed a supplementary chargesheet against Arvind Kejriwal, Durgesh Pathak, Amit Arora, Sharath Chandra Reddy, Ashish Mathur and Vinod Chauhan. (ANI)
