Raipur (Chhattisgarh) [India], July 31 (ANI): Ramen Deka took the oath of office as the Governor of Chhattisgarh at a function held at Raj Bhavan.

After taking the oath, Deka said, “I am very happy to be the Governor of Chhattisgarh. I will make sure that Chhattisgarh marches ahead to become a developing state. And for that, I will work as a mediator between the Government of Chhattisgarh and the Central Government.”
“I will try my best to solve the geopolitical issues, work on them, and express my views,” he added.
Extending his heartfelt wishes to Deka on this occasion, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai said, “Today Ramen Deka has taken oath as the new Governor of Chhattisgarh. I extend him my best wishes. Chhattisgarh has very old ties with Assam.”
“A large number of people from Chhattisgarh have shifted to Assam to work in the tea gardens and have settled there. These people have been there for generations, and many of them have become MLAs and MPs,” CM Sai said.
