Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], October 12 (ANI): After Indian Air Force C-295 aircraft landed at Navi Mumbai International Airport, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aditya Thackeray termed it as “stuntbaazi” and said that if the runaway was ready, then they should have inaugurated the entire airport.
“I believe that first of all, we, the political parties, should apologise to Air Force because they have been pulled into BJP’s ‘stuntbaazi’ many a time, be it Nitin Gadkari’s toll highways or C-295 aircraft which landed in Navi Mumbai today. If the runaway was ready, then they should have inaugurated the entire airport. It is not right to do stuntbaazi before the elections,” Aditya Thackeray said.
Further, the Shiv Sena (UBT) leader lashed out at Chief Minister Eknath Shine and said that if the former has courage, then he should go out with his own image, not of Balasaheb Thackeray.
“Whatever he (Eknath Shinde) does or says shows the manners that he got in his family… His behaviour is like a third copy, but the original is original. If he has this courage, he should go to the public with his own image and without using Balasaheb Thackeray’s picture, Shiv Sena’s name and the symbol of bow and arrow,” Aditya Thackeray added.
The inaugural landing of IAF C-295 took place at Navi Mumbai International Airport on Friday. CM Eknath Shinde also flew in the aircraft.
The Maharashtra CM said, “Navi Mumbai Airport will prove to be a boon for the people. Today C-295 successfully landed at Navi Mumbai Airport. The Airport will be named Lokneta DB Patil Navi Mumbai International Airport.”
“This will be the largest airport, which was inaugurated by the Prime Minister, and today the first runway’s test landing has taken place,” CM Shinde further added.
He mentioned that they have set a target to complete the airport by March 2025, and commercial flight operations will commence then.
“We are ready for the flight as well as for the fight. We do what we say, we don’t say what won’t happen; let’s see what happens in the future. Our work is done quickly. We started Ladli Behan Yojana and now money goes to the accounts of sisters quickly,” Shinde added. (ANI)
